Meet Dr. Katherine Friedman

Education and continuing education

I graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a bachelor's degree in economics. I proceeded to NYU College of Dentistry, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree as the valedictorian of my class. I attended Columbia University to specialize in orthodontics.

I continue my orthodontic education in order to make sure each patient receives the best care possible. I regularly attend the annual meetings of the American Association of Orthodontists as well as continuing education seminars throughout the year. I know that orthodontics is continually advancing and improving, and I am always looking for new methods and technologies to implement in our practice, to make orthodontic treatments more comfortable and efficient for our patients.

In the practice

I feel very blessed to be an orthodontist. It is truly rewarding to see my patients’ confidence grow as their smiles transform. As a mother, I understand the unique needs of families with busy schedules. It is very important to me to provide efficient, on-time treatment and flexible hours for the convenience of my patients.

My team is made up of wonderful people who enjoy their jobs and have been with the practice for many years. Patients can rely on seeing the same friendly faces and receiving the same high level of care at every appointment. My team genuinely cares about our patients and helps provide an enjoyable orthodontic experience.

Family life

I have enjoyed living in Connecticut since 2003, and love raising my family here. I am happily married to my husband Mike, who is also an orthodontist.  When I’m not in the office, you can find me searching for bugs and digging in the dirt with my two young daughters, Alyssa and Abigail.
